Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is recognized as a key part of the 'chain of survival' following cardiac arrest. Coupled with effective CPR & Basic Life Support it is well documented as the only chance of converting the heart to a 'shockable' rhythm.
Lifeline Solutions offer an Automated External Defibrillation (AED) course based on the recommended syllabus and contains lots of hands on practical experience to build on the confidence of students.
The course is, one day and is delivered by emergency service professionals who regularly use this equipment and therefore can give accurate information on achieving the required outcome, so an AED can be used effectively. We believe this makes the difference as students can draw on the experiences of their instructor. The training is based on the current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
Students will be assessed individually at the end of this course, with those reaching the required standard, receiving a certificate lasting 3 years.
Students attending this course must hold a current First Aid at Work Certificate and will be required to present this at the start of the course as the certificate number is required for registration.
